Classic City Captures℠ provides photography, videography, and web design services for commercial, editorial, and retail clients. Classic City Captures℠ is FAA sUAS Part 107 Certified as a Remote Pilot In Command for aerial drone photography, and we are OSHA 30 Certified for Hazard Recognition Training in the Construction Industry.

History & Background

Classic City Captures℠ was established in 2015 by Athens native and University of Georgia Grady College of Journalism & Mass Communication alumnus Jonathan Boyce Hogan.

While in college studying telecommunications, Jonathan worked in video operations for the UGA Athletic Association's football program, participated in the George Foster Peabody Awards student judge program, served as a courier at Blasingame, Burch, Garrard & Ashley, P.C., and co-managed operations for his family's lumber company. As a student, Jon studied video production, emerging media technologies, digital media production, media programming and management, and law of mass communication.

After graduation, Jon continued working in the family business before taking a job for 3 years at Technical Services Audio Visual, a commercial audio visual consulting and systems integration firm, where he was promoted to business development director for 2 years before moving on to serve as a project manager and site superintendent for The CloverLeaf Group, a general contracting and construction management company. Jon grew up in a local, family-owned wholesale & retail lumber business (Hogan Lumber Company) which exposed him to real estate development and construction projects at an early age. Each of these experiences provided Jon with the professional and educational opportunities that lead to the inception of Classic City Captures℠.

Jon is also a Licensed Commercial REALTOR® in the State of Georgia and South Carolina at Coldwell Banker Commercial Upchurch Realty. Jon joined the Coldwell Banker Commercial Upchurch Realty team as a licensed agent in November 2019. Jon is versed in the acquisition, management and disposition of real estate assets, and he has transactional experience ranging from triple-net retail investments, income producing multi-family properties, professional office buildings and land development deals. Jon's market sector focus includes Industrial, Land, Mixed-Use, Multi-Family, Office, & Retail. Jon is committed to providing exceptional commercial advisory services while adhering to the REALTORS® Code of Ethics. Jon currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Athens Community Council on Aging, the UGA State Botanical Garden Rhythm & Blooms Committee, is a member of the First Baptist Church of Athens, and he served as the Chairman for the Athens Area Association of REALTORS® 2021 Commercial Land Forum.

Jon grew up spending summers with his family at Lake Hartwell in Northeast Georgia on the border of Georgia and South Carolina where his love for sports and the great outdoors originated. Jon enjoys spending time with family & friends and resides in Athens.
